As you may be aware the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) - new rules on the way which information is handled etc – come into force on 25 May 2018.
This regulation introduces new requirements for how organisations process personal data.
All businesses and charities, including Cirencester Rugby Football Club, will have to comply with GDPR, which is an expansion of current UK legislation.
The attached privacy notice provides information on what data Cirencester Rugby Football Club will hold, for what it is used and how it is stored.
The effect of GDPR is that going forward mail shots will be run from the central database held on the RFU’s Game Management System (GMS). If, this season, you completed a membership form (for members and VP’s_ or provided information (sponsors) then you should receive emails about club matters, clun events and international ticket applications going forward. If we don’t hold this data on GMS and (importantly) have your express consent to use it then you will not be contacted for any matters or tickets.
If you are under any doubt as to whether we hold the required information and to ensure that you have given your express consent to use this data then please contact the membership secretary, Will Steel, using the email address firstname.lastname@example.org
