Junior Rugby
Welcome to Cirencester RFC's Youth website where you should find information about contacts, coaching and fixtures for each of the age groups.
The club runs all age groups from U/7's up to a Colts team. Cirencester Rugby Club was formed in 1949 with the children's Mini-Rugby group in 1985. From that initial group of children and keen parents, Cirencester now have one of the largest and most successful Mini and Junior Sections in the South-West of England. Every Sunday morning well over 250 children appear in Cirencester RFC colours at the Whiteway for training or matches, both home and away, and so great is the demand for pitches that the Club now has to borrow grounds from local schools and colleges. The playing season goes from September through to the end of April when Cirencester Mini and Junior Sections travel away on Tour - venues ranging from the South Coast to Cornwall, London, South Wales and Belgium!! The playing membership comes both from Cirencester and from a wide surrounding area including Tetbury, Malmesbury and Fairford and local schools actively encourage pupils to attend Cirencester RFC.
