2nd XV Match Report - 13-09-14

Cirencester 2nd XV 24 – Widden Old Boys 2nd XV 11

Cirencester started their Gloucester Reserve League campaign with a well-deserved victory over a young well drilled side from Widden Old Boys.

The Cirencester side was a balance of youth and experience and despite losing 3 players to the first XV they had a full complement of players and reserves, which all bodes well for the season ahead.

1st XV Match Report - 13-09-14

Cirencester secure bonus point victory in first league match away at St Marys Old Boys. 24-29

Cirencester started with a bang playing the game at a high pace and the first score came within a minute when man of the match James fisher cut the St Marys defence apart with great footwork to go under the posts after some good word by the forwards delivering good quick ruck ball, Fisher then converted his own try to give Cirencester a seven point lead. 0-7
Cirencester continued to pressure deep into opposition territory for long periods and were rewarded with their second try after 13 minutes when the forwards recycled ball well and second row Sam Hill crashed over from close range. The conversion was unsuccessful from wide out.0-12
