Cirencester Wins Bill Adams Cup Final

Bill Adams Cup Final: Dursley 3rds 35 v 59 Cirencester 3XV

- played at Fairford RFC

Kicking off in warm end-of-season conditions, Neil Owen's squad of young, old and retired players started their 3XV Cup Final brightly scoring first through the power of Steve Slater.

This would prove to be an effective tactic as the high scoring encounter went on with Slater scoring a further three tries from short range along with Scott Cannon. Alex Buchalik added another from a strong driving maul.

It wasn't all forward play however as promising scrum half Charlie Pugh evaded several tacklers with a fantastic break down the touchline to score. This was followed by two good converted tries from replacement backs Matt Harman and Tom Edwards.

Cirencester didn't have it all their own way though and Dursley's young side scored a number of tries through their fast backline making for an entertaining fixture. Cirencester eventually prevailed winning 59-35 and lifted the Bill Adams Cup at the final whistle.
